Layers
Neon v2 can display up to 10 effects blended each other with different modes: additive, subtractive, multiply, mask, etc. Each of them can also have its own filter plus a special layer to apply a filter to all FX at once.

Output
Output window resolutions from 320x240 up to 1024x768, scalable to fullscreen with a bilinear filtering when needed. Read manual in order to setup multimonitor work properly.

Filters
Filters can be applied to any FX source. Neon v2 filters include colorize, distort, hi/lo-pass, pixelate, emboss, glow, blur, halftone, etc. Any user can also program his own filters using a plain Microsoft .FX effect file based on Pixel Shaders 2.0.
Filter SDK
A filter SDK is available so everyone can code their own filters, with custom variables added to the GUI easily (slider, checkbox, combobox, textbox). VC6 C++ basic filter sample included.

Freeframe
Freeframe support (beta) for all you freeframe filter fans. No limit for custom variables, they are added runtime as needed.
Linkable controls
Most of the FX and GUI controls can be linked to a MIDI device, the keyboard, the beat manager or even the FFT and react to these values with different actions.

Syncing
You can sync effects and filters to the beat manager, triggering events when a beat is reached or altering properties of objects using the FFT. Neon v2 includes a DJ alike system with pitch bend to accurate sync the beat manager to the music.

Recording
You can record your session for later playback without losing performance. This is done by writing only event commands and not the video output. Using the included player you can playback the session and attach an MP3 audio file to it, and even more, convert it to video file with resolutions up to 1024x768. This way you can get perfect video quality at desired resolution (PAL 720x576 for example) and constant FPS (29.7 for example).
